John 18:37-38 Then Pilate said to him, “So you are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world, to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.” Pilate said to him, “What is truth?”

God is the unseen all-powerful creator of the world. Therefore, it is impossible to know what he wants from humanity unless he reveals it to us. We cannot determine God's will on our own because he is spirit and immaterial and we therefore has to rely upon his revelation to us. God has revealed himself to humans in the past and this revelation is written down in the Bible. God proofed that this message was from him by the numerous signs and wonders that accompanied the people through which he made revelations. The Bible is therefore the only real authority for what is true according to God for us.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
